TEXFUSION

Texfusion November 2019 - 10th Edition

At its 10th edition, Texfusion will take 150 international manufacturers at the Business Design Centre.
Texfusion is the first UK fair of its kind and responds to an increasing demand of international textiles by European fashion brands, retailers and manufacturers.

The products presented are fashion fabrics, apparel accessories, technical textile, denim and a large
garment section. The show attracts around 2000 buyers who travel predominantly from the UK (90%). Central and Northern Europe, Russia and the Middle East.

Sustainability…

Textile Events promotes an eco-friendly culture which aims to reduce the impact of the fashion industry on the global environment. There is increasing attention on the industrial impact on the planet and fashion brands are sourcing for eco-friendly alternatives.

More than 60% of our visitors declare to source primarily for sustainable/eco-friendly products. For these reasons, we have decided that was time for Texfusion to have a trend forum dedicated to sustainability, which will help the visitors in their responsible sourcing.

China Pavilion…

A large group of Chinese manufacturers will attend Texfusion this November, forming a Pavilion of more than 60 fabric and garment manufacturers.

The China Pavilion is coordinated by Tenga Exhibition which collaborates with Texfusion since 2018. The pavilion includes a large selection of fashion fabrics, garments and technical collections from the finest Chinese manufacturers.

Report

A very busy start to 2019 for Textile Events, with four shows in two months…in three different cities: London, New
York and Paris. It is now time to evaluate our activities for this first trimester of 2019.

The London Textile Fair – January 2019

TLTF opens the industry exhibition season and it is a regular event for all British buyers. The January edition focused on
Spring/Summer 2020 pre-collections and Autumn/Winter highlights from the current collections. Around 500
exhibitors with more than 700 collections presented for fashion fabrics, accessories and trims, print designs and
vintage garments.

Leading presence from Italy and Turkey within the fashion fabrics hall, covering together more than the 50% of the
exhibiting space, followed by United Kingdom 17%, Portugal 11%, France 8%, Spain 4%, Germany 2%, Others 4%.
SUSTAINABLE SOURCING: A new trend forum dedicated to sustainability was launched in January with 20 European
companies listed in the forum. This forum aimed to educate and inspire the visitors in line with the industry trends
which see environmental and social matters becoming a priority for an increasing number of companies. Products
listed under the forum were from natural fibres (like hemp, linen or wool) to organic cotton, recycled fabrics (wool,
polyester, leather) and sustainable dyed and finished products.

5150 visitors through the doors in two days, a predominance of British buyers (85% of the overall visits) with an
increase of high-quality visitors from abroad. Beside the regular buyers, like Marks and Spencer, House of Fraser, Top
Shop, Top Man, River Island, Ted Baker or Debenhams names like Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Zara, Desigual and Max
Mara came, confirming TLTF international appeal.

Texfusion New York – January 2019

The first edition of Texfusion – New York was launched in central Manhattan on the 16th and 17th of January 2019.
The show presented a wide selection of textiles and accessories from 66 exhibitors travelling from Italy, United
Kingdom, France, Turkey, Portugal, Ireland, China and Hong Kong, Germany and Slovenia.

A very positive start for this new show, with more than 500 visitors through the doors in 2 days. Beside the high quality
of the collections presented, the key of the success was the location of the venue. The Penn Plaza Pavilion is right in
the middle of Manhattan, in front of Penn Station, within the Garment District and walking distance from the famous
high street.

A new hall dedicated to print design will be launched at the next July edition, adding value to the already wide
selection of products…stay tuned!

The Paris Print Design Fair

‘Textile Events’ launched a brand new Print + Vintage exhibition, held in the centre of Paris. The boutique event
showcased the collections of 10 international print studios from the UK, Belgium and the US. The show offered the
perfect opportunity to source the latest collections in the intimate and relaxed setting of Galerie Joseph
Bachomaunt, closed to Les Halles and Rue de Rivoli.

Texfusion & The London Print Design Fair

The shows will be held next month at the Business Design centre, hosting 100 textile and garment manufacturers
and 40 print studios.
